2007 Santa Cruz Valley Christmas Party

I guess you could say a good time was had by all, but things might not have been as good after the party when your stomach began to tell your body that you overdid it. I know that was my case and usually is after our annual party. The food was great and the desserts were off the chart.

Our President, Duane Miller, made a presentation to three founding members, Fred Steinbach, Mert Urness, and George Johnson, making them Lifetime Members. He presented them with a letter honoring their achievement of Lifetime Membership and presented each of them and their spouse with special membership name badges.

Our MC and auctioneer, Jerry Cover, was next. Jerry is doing great since he got a new distributer and got his timing reset. He announced that he and Comfort were moving to Green Valley. Jerry then explained about our annual Christmas charity, the Tucson Center for Women and Children.

The hat was passed, and being the great people we are, we raised $1,643 plus whatever Jerry could raise from the annual auction. The auction didn’t go real well this year, bidding was a bit slow, and there were several very good buys. The total for the charity was over $1,700.
